Maggie Dent
Maggie is an author, educator, and parenting and resilience specialist with a particular interest in the early years and adolescence. Maggie is a passionate advocate for the healthy, commonsense raising of children in order to strengthen families and communities.

Button batteries

Button batteries are small round silver batteries that look like coins to small children. They are attractive to young children as they are bright, shiny and easy to swallow. If a battery is swallowed, it can lead to serious burns resulting in internal bleeding or death. Learn more.

Communicable illness

Dads In Distress group

Dads In Distress is for separated fathers who are looking for guidance and support around gaining / maintaining access to their children or for fathers who are still living with their families and have some challenges in their lives (mental health, relationship difficulty, unemployment/ financial difficulty etc).     A very cool pirate themed playground that is close to both the surf beach and Currumbin Creek.
  • Carindale Recreation Reserve (Cadogan and Bedivere Streets):
    A park with moon rocks, a moon buggy and a rocket ship ready to blast off!
  • Ken Fletcher Park, Tennyson (Opposite the Queensland Tennis Centre):
    Well worth a visit with lots of climbing and play activities
